Hi Kenuchelover,
I said to Marduk that I didn't express clearly how UFO's came up in the article I translated from, and tryed to explain what was meant, and said I was sorry I ever brought it up because it caused missunderstanding, and hasn't gone away yet. I attempted to clear up to Marduk that what the German called "protective shield", and now add, he wrote "without a function of the shield given", may have brought, or could bring the IDEA of "Untertassen" as UFO's are called in Germany, to mind "which is in error", the German wrote. In reading what I say, Marduk too can't seem to get away from "interstellar ships" etc., even though I asked to forget I ever mentioned it, because it gives the wrong impression immediately.
I neither try to prove anything nor adopt an alternative culture because I don't like mine very much, nor yet put new age nonsense in the mouth of the Hopi, or "invent" things, and your words: "Just stop traying to lie about Native American History and culture, stop trying to use it to reinforce your credibility" are insulting because I "try" nothing of the kind, but said in the beginning that what I wrote I translated from an article on a German site. If I wanted to adopt an authentic culture I would not be sitting in LA but ask to live with the people of that culture.
Stephanie corrected me on some things, and you suggested I read "The Book of the Hopi" by Frank Waters, cautioning that he missinterprets some or much, I forgot, of what White Bear recorded. I thought: if Kenuchelover gives the book of the Hopi some credibility I can use it as a reference, and began comparing what is written in the book with what the German wrote, and made some parallel with other systems which basically say the same things, not because they have something to do with the Hopi per se.
I merely read in the book of the Hopi and give my understanding of it. I was thinking yesterday my copy, signed by White Bear: "To Charlotte - with best wishes from Hopiland ----
White Bear
then a spiral resembling a one and a half 3, I'm sure you know which one, and with the bottom of a half circle, a horizontal line in the middle with 2 short vertical lines above, then
Hopi Tribe 1994
and thought: would White Bear give his signature to a book he didn't aprove of? Could it be he hadn't read it? And if he did would the misstranslation you mentioned be acceptable to him?
In any case the book, the two Native teachers I mentioned, and talking with a Native of the Navajo in the middle of nowhere in Arizona, is all I have to go by, not inventing and lying.
I do appreciate you offering me "authentic" seeds to plant, but have no garden, however, I grew up in the country planting and harvesting with the seasons, spending much time wandering through the fields and in the forest picking berries and occasionally talking to a deer when it came close enough. It may have been a different culture but nature is the same everywhere.
With respect
Charlotte
PS I might add that in my post yesterday I compared what "the German" wrote about the "twins" leaving their position at the poles and the world turned over etc., to the writ in the book of the Hopi. The stories are identical, so the question again arises: is the book of the Hopi made up by Waters? Is he conveying the words of White Bear even though somewhat faulty? Is White Bear himself ignorant of Hopi tradition and knowledge and therefore all he recorded is also new age drivel?
