I requested an Egyptian source. You replied with:
Quote
"110a...In this way, then, the names of the ancients, without their works, have been preserved. And for evidence of what I say I point to the statement of Solon, that the Egyptian priests, in describing the war of that period, mentioned most of those names--such as those of Cecrops and Erechtheus and Erichthonius and Erysichthon and most of the other names [110b] which are recorded of the various heroes before Theseus--and in like manner also the names of the women." -- Critias
Critias was not an
Egyptian source, but a
Greek one.

So is there a contemporary
Egyptian source that can confirm this point? A papyrus, or text, perhaps?

That would be the "stuff" that Plato wrote, presumably ... and, Plato being Greek, that makes his writings
Greek.

Bear in mind: we're looking here for
Egyptian sources, not
Greek ones.

A similarity of name does not mean that such a sea was to be identified with Atlantis, though ...

What I'm seeking here is an evidence-based discussion, not one that is based on claim and speculation.
