Hello Rich,
Some thoughts:
Distance between Earth and the star Capopus = 5601733247314386305 royal cubits
DANA = 56
da-na => Danaos
Kanopus was written with an omega but in non Ionic pre-Euclidian alphabets it would be written with either one or two omicrons. Using two (long o) we have:
KANOOPOS = 561
From wikipedia I copy:
“Before the launching of the Hipparcos satellite telescope, distance estimates for the star varied widely, from 96 light years to 1200 light years. Had the latter distance been correct, Canopus would have been one of the most powerful stars in our galaxy. Hipparcos established Canopus as lying 310 light years (96 parsecs) from our solar system; this is based on a parallax measurement of 10.43 ± 0.53 mas.”
Watching from Canopus Egypt at Alnilam transit the altitude of star Canopus at about 1414 BC is zero. At that epoch at Canopus the maximum altitude of Canopus would be close to 5 degrees.
From wikipedia I copy:
“Early Egyptological excavations some 2 or 3 km from the area known today as Abu Qir have revealed extensive traces of the city with its quays, and granite monuments with the name of Ramesses II, but they may have been brought in for the adornment of the place at a later date.”
At 1414 BC Amenhotep II reigned over Egypt and if we relate Orion and Alnilam to Giza pyramids it’s interesting that near the sphinx we find Amenhotep II’s temple. Next to it is sphinx temple with statue bases forming the 1414 digits. Time travel smoking gun?
