Not a lot of new info here. It's kind of been on the back-burner. Since it's been a while, and we have a long-weekend... here we go.
Summary:
This theory is based on Danaus being married to Atlanteia. Danaus is a descendent of IO, the Pharian Ceres, and was hence located in Pharos, aka pre-Alexandria. The theory has an explicit mention of a city in this area once called Atlantia. It explores the Geneologies of the Pleiades(daughters of Atlas), Ancient Sources(like Aeschylus, Hellanicus, Herodotus which pre-date Plato), Bathymetry, etc... and concludes that the place with the big harbor and unstable land, later became the home of a famous lighthouse. The time-frame conforms with Aeolus
(Prometheus->Deucalion->Hellen->Aeolus). The Pillars of Proteus were located here as well. Plato's "factor of 10 error"(old theory) is utilized to explain the time and size.

For an update, Deucalion and Hellen are explicity mentioned by Plato. This family tree is rather neat, and does conform with my theory and adds some more glue.
Prometheus, of course, fits into the IO story(Aeschylus), and is mentioned as a governor of Egypt(Diodorus). As a god who makes men out of clay, he kind of fits the motif of the Pottery/Creator God Khnum.
Aeolus was a wind-god, if you were choosing wind-gods out of Egypt, then maybe he links to Shu. Aeolus is contemporary with Atlantia. He has a descendant named Aethlius. I don't like near-names... but the context fits. The time-frame fits. Stuff like Tyrrhenia in the story is explained(Aeolian Islands).

Also in this family tree is
Amphictyon, son of Deucallion. The dialog's discussion about 10 Atlantean Leaders meeting before going to war, conforms with the Amphictyonic Council(note: Amphictyonic council was Greece, not Atlantis; different place) But, kind of a nice parallel, that conforms with the timeline.
