Since this theory is a retread, and already argued out here, perhaps I won't get much participation this time, I'm thinking. Maybe bad timing with the Labor Day weekend. People are pretty busy. I could invite other people here from the outside to debate the theory, but I'm kind of happy this isn't an Atlantis board. I like the mix of people here, as is.
So I'm stuck with a dilemna. What to do with this theory. I don't really want to shelve it... as there is so much drivel written on the topic, I think I offer something better. I don't want to write a book or profit from the topic, as I feel the topic has been exploited too much already.
I would consider publication though, maybe converting it to a short essay. Maybe submitting it to the Milos Conference, and getting a little excerpt in a book that only hardcore atlantologists buy. Or maybe a magazine from one of our users, Collete Dowell. Something like that. Is this theory ready for prime-time? Does it stink like most of the other theories? Is the writing of poor quality, or too complex, or not explained well? Too many open questions?
I'm kind of ready to put the topic behind me; I like the Egypt discussions on here better.
I took up this hobby because I wanted a challenge. Then decided it was probably impossible to prove the theory, but I enjoyed learning Greek Mythology and History and stuck with it for a while.
Maybe somebody else has some opinions on what I should do with a theory on a topic that is usually shunned by the serious people, like you would find on a messageboard like Maat. Private Messages are ok, too.
Note: Even though I've chosen an Egyptian location, I've decided to put this topic into history, as the story is Greek Mythology.
ps. If someone wants to comment, but they want to be nice, and they don't want to say: "your theory stinks"... please, please, don't hold back the criticism. I like criticism. Or if you have a question, something not addressed by my topic. Maybe somebody else's theory. I will comment on that as well (of course I'd rather stick with the evidence presented in my theory). Additionally, I can talk about speculation that didn't make the cut, or questions I have as well.
