I think you might misunderstand my position on this subject.
I think there is no doubt these were built with simple tecnology
and hard work by the ancient Egyptian with no outside help other
than perhaps a small number of slaves from time to time.
There's also little doubt that levering, ramps, boats, and sleds
were employed to move some stones all or part of the distance to
their final position.
There is great doubt that the use of all these methods in tandem
even with the most highly motivated workforce could complete the
structure in the era to which they are attributed. This merely im-
plies that there were more as yet undiscovered means. It hardly im-
plies that any specific method was used.
There could have been extensive internal ramping and this might ac-
count for much of the apparent inconsistency. But if this were to
shown as the means then manpower requirement would be quite high.
It seems likely that this question will be answered within the next
several years and it may lead to a much greater understanding of the
people. In any case it will lead to a greater understanding of their
monuments and other artifacts.
