Al: But that doesn't mean the drawing of a bird represents a kite - agreed?
SC: Why shouldn't it? If it can fly, why not symbolise it as a winged creature?
Al: Now, with respect, think about this seriously. If the AEs had giant controlled kites, large enough to move pyramid stones, surely they would also be used to lift men as lookouts (for military purposes) or send signals over long distances? And if they were that useful, why on earth would they never mention them and indeed abandon the whole concept at some point?
SC: No need - As I said, I am not convinced by this theory in the least. I am trying to find out more info about it though. All you say above is perfectly reasonable and the creators of this theory would have to answer these valid points you raise.
Al: I know this sort of thing sounds "sexy", and perhaps to you - with your theory - would be another pointer to a previous, lost, advanced civilisation,
SC: Sory but I don't follow your logic here. I have always credited the AEs with constructing the pyramids and therefore, of overcoming the practical problems in so doing. I have never credited any other civilisation with constructing the pyramids, ergo the technology to do so.
Al: Simply because we don't know how something was done doesn't mean it was done by some fantastical method.
SC: I have never said it was.
