SC: Perhaps but the date of that article I posted was 2001 - which is why I asked if anyone had any more recent info on this.

MJ: This theory requires the AEs to have had knowledge of kites several hundred years before the Chinese started developing them around 3,000 (?) years ago.

SC: Perhaps the ancient Chinese got their ideas from the AEs?

MJ: Obviously, we are not talking about your average kiddies kite here but something very big and highly sophisticated. If the AE pyramid builders had such things, wouldn't it be perfectly reasonable to expect images of them to pop up here and there in AE carvings, paintings, etc?

SC: I thought of the same objection until I read further into what Dr Clemmons is saying - apparently there is much in AE art that can be interpreted as kite-handling artefacts. See here:
