<HTML>I am not so suprised Don, while the widely held belef of USA as a country which was never invaded was shattered on September 11th ,the belief that US armed forces are capable of dealing with ANY enemy quickly and conclusively is still very much alive (I am not disputing here if this belief is justified or not). After the Grenada invasion, Gulf War and Kosovo campaign this view is not at all suprising. Whatever those past campaigns were easy or not, or succesfull or not, is still disputed by military experts but not by the average citizien. I wonder thou how many people who voted for "massive military action" do realise that invading Afganistan will be a very different undertaking indeed. My guess would be that not that many...
