<HTML>"What if Afghanistan won't turn over bin Laden?

The level of support for immediate massive reaction suprises me. I am pretty hawkish on this matter, but it seems to me prudent to fight fire with fire; historically, bombs alone galvanize resistance and a ground war - short of a complete pacification a la Stalin - is not feasable.

What is interesting is the question itself has only a small number of answers, none of them feasable and none which include a real solution to the underlying problem of Palestinian autonomy.
