Perhaps it is to encode a "circle" ...
Your job (and ours) is to find out which "circle" it is that may be meant ...
*Hint: Planets are circular ....
*Hint #2: The Great Pyramid is indented as we all know. How many have ever thought that maybe they were trying to show us TWO DIFFERENT radii
