I can easily counter your statement with:

"Indeed within the pyramid there is hardly any fill between blocks"

It's a bit like small ramps and possible small ramps which are larger than mastaba ramps. It doesn't necessarily follow that this leads to massive ramps.

It seems there are factors which prohibit the jump from small to large or one instance to a lot of instances

To be fair I have seen this logic in use on this board before and in the absence of any reasonable argument to the contrary it eventually becomes more or less acceptable to repeat it.

One instance doesn't set the scene and yes it is possible that Vyse just happened to expose a bad case of fill.

I also haven't seen a good photo of it.
