1. Topography...in particular 'sight lines'
2. Khufu had free reign. His complex was laid out according to a plan adapted to the topology. But Khafre had to build his accomodating and 'Complimenting, what had allready been done. which leads to ..
3. Khafre may well have wanted to differentiate his satellites from Khufu's
4. re Menkaure...see 1,2 & 3, combined of course with Hermione's original suggestions
5. If driven to it, I could come up with any number of possible denominators. Which causes me to wonder why you yourself , who are so obviously driven to do so, seem to have little or no imagination allowing you to arrive at these possiblities yourself.

Speaking for myself, I don't see any contradictions in how the statellites are (or are not) laid out. and herein lies the catch 22. You do see contradictions. apparently due to your having a vision of the hows and why. But they are only contradictions in light of your conclusions. if we do not share (or even quite know what they are) said conclusions...How in the world are we supposed to explain said contradictions to you???


If I may give you some advice....

the more you try to isolate particulars within each complex, and the more you try to isolate each complex, and the more you try to isolate Giza as a whole from the rest of the Western Shores Necropoli....

the less accurate and likely your conclusions are apt to be.
