<HTML>But help me out then. It presumably doesn't matter which way is up (north or south). If they aligned a northern shaft to a northern star, and a southern shaft to a southern star - why would they align the pyramids as a mirror image?
-------------------

Let's please examine this logically....

I ask:

Would it make *any* sense to point a southern shaft at a northern star? Does it make *any more* sense to point a southern shaft at a northern star? How exactly would one go about pointing a shaft facing one direction at a star located in the opposite?

Yet this is exactly what Krupp says the Egyptians would need to do in order for the shaft orientation to match the ground plan!!!

A shaft pointed south can *only* align with a star in the south (obviously!). A shaft pointed north can *only* align with a star in the north (if they align with stars at all of course).

One can no more derive the proper orientation of the pyramids from this, than than one might conclude from the fact of gravity that Egyptians held their pants up with red suspenders!

This argument really makes Krupp look like a moron (which I am certain he is not). Why Krupp sticks by such a nonsensical statement really forces one to question his intellectual integrity. This is pure academic balderdash that serves no purpose but to obscure the real questions surrounding the OCT.

I say to those critics opposed to the OCT, PLEASE, for the LOVE OF GOD, stick to valid arguments!!! There are many logical objections to the OCT. You do not need to accept as gospel any statement made in opposition to it - simply because it coincides with your cause.

I really wish that critics would stick to an examination of the real issues, and not try to obsure the matter in a deluge of pseudo-logic. Supporting nonsense like this is what really makes the case against the OCT look weak and its objectioners, pathetic.
