I have to disagree with your statement about the southeastern corners of the pyramids being in a straight line, they are not. At the moment I am working with a cad program and the pyramid layout, based on Petries measurements. Worked into this are the azimuth offsets for the 3 pyramids, they are (GP -3' 43")(Khaf - 5' 26")(Menk +14' 03"). There is no straight line between the three pyramids, there is an angle of 177.1095°, or if you want it the otherway there is a seperation from the straight line by 2.8905°.

The straight line between the GP and Khafres pyramids bisects the southeast corner of Menkaure's pyramid by 878.8573 inches or 73.2381 feet.

I will further add the degree offsets north of east for the three pyramids.

South East corners

Menkaure to GP: Angle = 46.9732°
Menkaure to Khafre: Angle = 48.4856°
Khafre to GP: Angle = 45.4538°

I have been reading the posts and noticed the mention of this so called Lehner line, and that he became aware of this so called straight line by surveying the pyramids. This can only mean that Petrie's measurements and survey were eroneous, or that Lehners survey is eroneous. Which is it to be?

Since Petrie's measurements are still reguarded as accurate today, and are still used in relation to the Giza layout. I have to conclude that his measurements and positioning of the pyramids are not in error. Therefor with the help of a professional cad program I have determined that this Lehner line has a bend in the rails, and is not dead straight.

The 45° angle is also out, the closest we get to that measurement is 45°27'14". This is no use for any measurements that would be aligned to 45°, and anyone that is basing any alignments on the 45° or straight line principle, is in error.</HTML>
