<HTML>Well I insist that the scale be 1:1 - better force those pyramids light years apart!

I assume you are joking. :-)

The main problem I have though is that the axis has to be changed to accomodate the fit that you (and R
are making.

Avry Wilson has proposed an explanaition for this which does not rely upon a model of the precessional cycle "dialed back" to 10,500 BCE. Perhaps you can have a look at his paper which is published at his Web site (I am unsure of the link).
I admit however that this *is* a real puzzel - but i would not consider it an objection - not in the light of the statistical evidence we will provide for the distance and angular match.
Personally, I have no idea why the AEs would replicate the Orion's Belt geometrical pattern and then tilt it at an aproximate 45 degree angle.
However, this is only a "problem" (if that!) if we assume that the structures in question "represent" stars. We cannot draw that conclusion on the basis of the angle and distance evidence! All we can prove is that the structures are arranged in a pattern that is an intentional paralel of the Orion Belt pattern.
FOR EXAMPLE: The grooved Greek Pillar has been suggested by some to have been inspired by the trunk of a certain tree. Assuming this is true, we cannot assume that everywhere we see the Greek Pillar, the artist was "representing" this tree symbolicaly. At some point, the representative significance was lost at what remained was a standard rendering pattern.
So too, it may well be that the Belt Star geometry passed into AE culture as an artistic asthetic and emerged in the Giza ground plan - without the architects even being aware of its significance.
I personally feel this scenario unlikely. I mention it only by way of establishing that intentional Orion Symbolism in the Pyramids or any other GIza structure requires Archeological "cultural" evidence to establish.
But the intentional engineering of the correlation itself, can now safely be established on the basis of the angle and distance measures alone (once we make our results public).
