It is precisely for this reason that we do not speculate on how the correlation was derived or for what reason. We are only arguing that there is a mathematical relationship which is nerly precise.

How precise?

When the outlying stars are aligned to the outlying objects (which are each in a position in close proximity with each pyramid), the middle of the central object is missed by the central star by three feet.

Three feet.

Does this mean that the objects "represent" stars? We don't know. We have no idea why a star pattern is replicated on the ground by these objects. All we know with certainty is that the pattern is in fact replicated to a degree that is exact by any reasonable measure.

Now, because the survey data contains a margin of error, there is a plus/minus six foot range for the accuracy derived. This means the margin of error may be slightly greater or even more exact.

Now the interesting thing about the examples you mention is that the realtionship between each of the phenomena cited is not questioned (assuming that the studies exist to establish those relationships) - it is the *nature* of the relationship which remains in doubt (in those cases, a cause/effect relationship).

We are interested only in establishing the existence of a non-coincidental, statistical relationship. We avoid speculation on the nature of that relationship.
