<HTML>The main problem with Draco is that it isn't right....... the tail goes off the wrong direction .... I'm trying to remember (been awhile since I read this) but I think there was something about the head as well not being right ...
-------------
Just remember, Bauval's OCT did not appear to be "right" either - in terms of conforming perfectly to the actual angles and distances of the stars. It was close but not perfect.
It was my conjecture that this visible errancy was due to our latter-day presumtions regarding the point at which the measurements were originally made.
By shifting the measuring point to the east, the pyramids are now seen to align *perfectly* (with an errancy measured in feet) with the belt stars - via the mortuary temple "linch pins."
I believe the possibility exists that Hancock's researcher (who discovered the Draco similarity) was on to something. Discrepancies between Draco and the temple constructs may yet be explained by altering our presumtions regarding the points of conjunction. It's all too easy to become distracted by the large edifices (such as pyramids) and miss the seemingly insignificant details.
I took a cursary look at a map of the Ankor complex some time ago to see if I could determine an alternative point of measure but was unable to see anything obvious (my map, however, was incomplete). There may yet be something there and I do hope to have another look sometime.
I did note some similarities betwen Ankor and the Pyramids (whether they are meaningful I know not). I noticed that all of the temples are a-semetrical - often with incised potrusions to one side (like the mortuary temples portruding from the pyramids).
Another interesting phenomena is the paralel betwen Giza and the triple pyramid complex in Mexico (containing the Pyramid of the Sun). The fact that both feature two, large, nearly perfectly aligned structures and a third, smaller structure off-axis seems more than a coincidence. However, I have not yet been able to associate the mexican stuctures with Orion's belt in any way (though again, my map is incomplete).
So much remains a total mystery when it comes to the thought processes of the ancients!!!
