Observed Phenomena
A line drawn from the center points of all three primary mortuary temples at Giza "exactly matches" (within fractions of a degree and/or tens of feet) the distances and angles associated with the belt stars of Orion -- a constelation that has been tentatively linked with perhaps the principle Egyptian god of the dead.
Possible Explainations
1) The Mortuary Temple/Pyramid complex was intentionally matched to the constelation, either from the begining or at the time when the last component was added.
2) The Egyptians arranged the pyramids and temples on the basis of geology and resources only to accidentally produce this exacting relationship.
Conclusion
While holding off on drawing a conclusion at this time, of these two, one must acknowledge that the former is most likely. The odds of achieving a relationship of this degree by accident will always be less than those of achieving it by intent.
That doesn't mean it could not have occured by chance. Only that the odds are not in favour of this proposition.
Personally, while I await further evidence, I rationally infer "intent" until shown otherwise.
