<HTML>Hi Ishmael,
I disagree with your assessment of the Ankor-New York analogy drawn by Horizon. The comparison in methodology is fully justifed.
How did GH select the structures for his supposed correlation between Ankor and Draco? It would appear, in the absence of any actual rational related to the individual temples themselves, that he did so solely on the basis that they fitted the pattern he set out to find. Horizon simply did the same. You say the temples at Ankor are thematically related and yes, they are, being part of a temple complex. Big deal, the buildings selected in New York are thematically related too, being part of a city.
Its interesting to note that the Ankor-New York analogy went unmentioned in GH's otherwise voluminous complaint to the BSC about the Horizon programme. Its also interesting to note that the BSC adjudication was at pains to point out that the constellation Draco was totally unknown to the builders of Ankor. A fact which makes the whole issue moot anyway.
Horizon remains a series of which the BBC can be proud and the programme in question 'Atlantis Reborn' stands as a fine example of what science can and should be doing to alternative theories, in this case the Lost Civilisation propounded upon by GH.
