Well I have some bad news for you ... The outer perimeter is of the form that the short side is 1/2 the long side or in other words 1 to 2 and sorry lobo ... the diagonal is indeed the square root of 5.

Yes not only do we have the 1, 2 and sq rt triangle BUT WE ALSO HAVE THE 1, sq rt of 3 (1.73205) and 2 triangle ...
