Hi Anthony,

You are correct and it is an important point, but please don't tell my missus, she is a mathematician and would kill me. We once a long time ago had a rather heated discussion over me dividing both sides of an equation by x to get an answer as opposed to factorising the equation and solving. her argument was x could have been zero, my argument was that in this case x was not equal to zero. I dont think we spoke for the rest of the evening tongue sticking out smiley In physics though, most of the interesting physics occurs at this point (for example phase transitions etc).
