As already pointed out, we have documentary evidence of limestone being transported from Tura to Akhet Khufu - [www.maatforum.com]

On days 14 and 15, Merer mentions assembling and loading blocks; they were delivered to Giza on Day 17 (Tallet 2017: 62).

Again, Merer says nothing about any grinding: which, had it happened at all, could presumably have taken place only at Giza ... with any fossil material somehow surviving any production process, and making it whole into the finished product ... [www.maatforum.com]
