Hi Robin,
Quote
I'm afraid I did not understand your answer - "Four approximating lines which clearly exhibit procession dependence are strong evidence that at least four different stellar targets were used (see graph). Not too many variables if we consider only 7 stars of the Meskhetiu astermism, which mentioned in texts accompanying orientation ritual as target of king's observations and the pole star - Thuban, which presumably mentioned in Pyramid Texts as Mooring Post".
Please see short explanation
here.

The westward drift in pyramid orientation can only be related to precession if the reference stars remain the same through time . But there is uncertainty as to the particular choice of the possible northern targets.
First of all, the stars of Meskhetiu should be considered as a targets in the north, because it is this asterism that is mentioned as the target of observations during the orientation ritual (stretching of the cord ceremony). It can be said that the Egyptians, dividing the sky into northern and southern parts, associated the south with Sah, and the north with Meskhetiu.

44 degrees does not relate to any aspect of Khufu geometry that I can find.
But it relate to altitude of Alnilam (43,85 deg) if pyramid was built two centuries earlier then commonly believed.
It is not possible that the shaft to be simultaneously connected with the geometric proportions of the pyramid's design and at the same time points to a stellar object (or this means that the entire pyramid's design was calculated taking into account the altitude of this stellar object in its culmination).

Although perhaps only constructed in this one pyramid the fact that the shaft angles pretty well define the shape of the pyramid
Not so pretty.
In my opinion, the proximity of outlets of the KC shafts to the theoretical level of 154c is nothing more than a coincidence, because the errors of 9 palms (KCS) and 18 palms (KCN) are too big to ignore them.
The builders wanted to place the KC at an elevation of 82c and they did this. If they wanted to bring the outlets of shafts to the 154c level exactly, they undobtedly would have done that too.
Attempts "to tie" the KC shafts to theoretical level of 154c are nothing more than attempts to destroy the theory of "stellar" shafts by replacing them with "geometric" shafts. What is their purpose then? Are they just beautiful exercises in geometry, which spent a huge amount of time and efforts?

He seems to imply Petrie was mistaken.
Maragioglio and Rinaldi confirm Petrie: "Today, this air channel opens exteriorly in the 101st courseof the pyramid north face, but if originaly it passed through the casing it should have opened in the 103rd course".
