Yeah right. Once upon a time I worked my way through a fair hunk of Gardiner's Egyptian Grammar and was translating some of the BOD from printed copies that I had. In the OK I was strictly interested in the Pyramid Texts, those fascinating works. Pyramids were boring. They've been picked over for millenia. I spent most of my time in Amarna and after that TIP before ending with Ptolemaic studies. Once Hawass came to power and initiated his scorched earth policy against Egyptologists. I left the field, once he was overthrown I returned to see what was going on not much changed with the new dynasty. The amount of new information is about the same as when I left it. The most notable exception to that is Waggy's research where he's done an absolutely amazing job of bringing together disparate source material from dozens of different sources. At which point I and a couple of other people urged him to put it in a book and publish it. Anyhow I'll leave you all to your musings on what the third chip in the wall on the second tier of stones in the north wall of the queen's chamber means. I've got more important things to do.
