Where is the logic in that ? Undoubtedly, Khufu's pyramid was built up horizontally, in layers (courses). Therefore, it is very clear that first the Descending Passage, next the Ascending Passage and last the King's Chamber was constructed. The KC is the highest situated in the monument, so, it was constructed last.
Why would the AE have made calculations/construction more difficult than necessary ?
The way you put it, the core would have been built first (vertical construction). Only afterwards, the horizontal courses would have been placed. Very improbable. It seems much easier to me to built up everything gradual, stepwise, in horizontal courses. And that is what we notice ; vast horizontal squares placed one above the other. There are no supporting, vertical structures in the monument, except the walls of the chambers and the passages, which are walls, not supporting structures, such as the 'relieving-chambers'.
