Hello Poundr17,
Thanks for getting back to me on this.
Later on today I'll indulge in some number-crunching and school-boy-geometry and let you know what I come up with.
After correcting an error (mine) in my starting figures (details to follow) I have determined that the floor line of the south shaft intersects the Pyramid's south face at 3174.04" above the base.
The top of Course 104 is at 3174.7" [N.E. level] and 3176.0" [S.W. level], so I think we can safely say that the floor of the south shaft was intended to 'emerge' at the south face at 3175.35" (give or take 0.7 of an inch) above the base.
In the early hours of this morning - when I should have been abed - I spotted a possible explanation for this level, but it needs working on.
Regards,
MJ
