Hello C. Wayne,
I've rechecked all of the relevant measurements published by Petrie and Gantenbrink and I still find that if the floor line of the KC south shaft were continued southward and upward at 45 degrees it would intersect the south face of the Pyramid at 3176.41” vertically above the base, which is 0.4" below to 1.7" above the top of Petrie's course number 104 (at 3174.7” [N.E. corner] and 3176” [S.W. corner]).
Consequently, I'm looking at a discrepancy of 31.51" (i.e. my 3176.41" less Petrie's 3144.9").
At the moment I'm stumped because I can't see what is causing this very marked difference, which suggests to me it is probably something very simple and something I have got wrong somewhere along the line.
To help me break this deadlock of mine, please could you let me know what you make the horizontal and vertical measurements of the KC south shaft based on Gantenbrink's CAD data?
Many thanks.
MJ
