You continue to obfuscate. There is no correlation. It never existed. It does not exist. Nada. Zilch. Sweet Fatty Arbuckle. Your claim has fallen off its perch. Its ghost is lost in the realms of sillyscience. It is an ex-claim. (Apols to MPFC)
>And, the point was not whether there was any direct differential effect from
>gravity across an earthquake zone,
Please stop trying to pretend that earthquakes are not a consequence of the build-up of stresses across inter-plate boundaries.
And please do not try to tell me what the point is:
I, not you, made the point in the OP of this thread, i.e. that there is no correlation between earthquake occurrence and lunar syzygy. If you do not wish to address the point I made, one is left wondering why you bothered to respond unless, as usual, it is just to waste time and cause trouble.
>it was whether the larger tidal movement of huge weights of water
>at the Zyzygy could encourage earthquakes to happen around these times.
Please stop trying to pretend that I have not already written to you:
In the unlikely event that you bother to read what I actually wrote, you will find that at no time was I referring to submarine earthquakes being triggered by ocean tides (for which there is a growing body of evidence and a proposed mechanism), but to the false relationship that you claimed, which was to lunar syzygy (for which there is neither).
If you use the "Quote This Message" facility that is thoughtfully provided by the program writer of this message board, it my help you to avoid misrepresenting me again.
As for the last paragraph, your intention to misrepresent is as clear as the despicable lie you publicly told about me having emailed the Glasgow Science Centre and accused it of "intellectual dishonesty".
In all of this, it matters not one jot whether the lies that you perpetrate on this message board are the result of blathering incompetence and ignorance, of a sheer carelessness for the truth, or of deliberate malice: a lie is still a lie and no matter how you wriggle and squirm you will not make them true. The mere fact that you do not desist is a measure of the contempt you have both for the truth and for people who come here to be educated. Shame on you!
