Oh ye of little faith....
I just cited a good one to Kat ("R. A. Donkin, 1979. "Agricultural Terracing in the Aboriginal New World", Tucson: U of Arizona Press. Abebooks has copies for $10 & up, see [
dogbert.abebooks.com] ).
But also.... contact the nonprofit group Native Seeds/SEARCH (http://www.nativeseeds.org/v2/default.php for website & contact info), I'd be VERY surprised if they weren't able to give you a reading list. For that matter, although MOST books on Native gardening techniques cover other areas (East of the Mississippi, Upper Missouri area, etc), you can find some SW books sold by NS/S.... see [
www.nativeseeds.org] Eh, you might want to check out some of their ethnobotany & health pages, see [
www.nativeseeds.org] or misc other links from the homepage).
They are good people, & many of them are Native themselves.
