<HTML>The news now reports that the first survivors are using their cell phones to call from beneath the rubble. Fire officials say they have rescued at least six people so far. It is a small ray of light the morning after the darkest day.

For my money, the most gruesome aspect of the situation was the wild parties and celebrations Palestinians held yesterday to celebrate the terrorist bombing. That callous disregard for the mind-boggling loss of life has done more to sour world opinion of Palestinians than any other act. (For the record, Yasser Arafat had the decency to condemn the attack even as his people sang its praises.)

Let us hope and pray that more survivors emerge from the rubble and prove to the Palestinians and the terrorists that America cannot be levelled as easily as an office complex.
