<HTML>Dear All,
I have been transfixed to my television since this tragedy burst into consciousness yesterday. The enormity of this act is almost beyond belief.
The coming days will be filled with horror stories of loss and suffering. I know that my fellow countrymen will join me in offering our condolences to all of the victims involved, both directly and indirectly, in what is bound to be the costliest day, in human terms, since Pearl Harbor, for the American people.
Indeed we have just heard the first confirmation of Irish deaths in all this, a mother and daughter on one of the planes that hit the WTC. Most Nations on earth will be effected in some way by this horror.
Robert is right in his analysis, and let us hope America can avoid lashing out blindly against the first likely perpetrators of this crime.
I worry for us all, and may your God go with you.
