If I understand Graham's argument in FOG correctly (sarcasm!) then the Vyse quarry marks had to be seen to be dodgy because they helped date the GP to Khufu's reign. FOG was essentially a search for evidence to support the notion of a lost civilisation which died out circa 10,500BC. I can't help but wonder if the treatment of the quarry marks was typical of the approach GH choose to take towards evidence which would raise awkward questions about his theory.
