Hello Colette,

>>Planets line up every so often, the Moon is eclipsed, I mean, stuff happens in the astronomical world- but, why are you saying this particular alignment is so darn important and this and that and after all is said, what is the meaning of what you are saying? Was some great baby born, were there great floods, were taxes lowered, I mean, what are you trying to imply here?<<
I think if one puts down all the information encoded in the pyramids and elsewhere(temples etc) he will reach the conclusion that they were not designed by the AEs. Archeological, historical, data point to the fact that the pyramids were physically built by the AEs, but we don’t really know who designed them. We need to investigate all alternatives, that is as soon as we have definitely determined what is actually encoded. The fact that it seems logical to assume that they should have had an important reason to do so – should outline the importance of studying the pyramids. Some have proposed end-of the world encoding of the sort. Although there is currently no real indication that they are correct we cannot exclude these types of possibilities. There is always the possibility that we will be too late in fully decoding them.

>>I think the most impressive bit is the main alignment of the GP foundation and basic structure to the cardinal points......now , that is impressive and places a mark on the AEs abilities and knowledge----what it looks like to me is that you are making a case of something extraordinary, but, not really, and out of ordinary events and not even explaining the reason why and the value of it.<<
The fact that they took such care in aligning the base to the cardinal points leads us to the possibility of other things being planned based on astronomy. Besides if they hadn’t taken such care in aligning the base to the cardinal points in the first place, then such theories like K. Spense’s would not have surfaced and I would not have discovered this Uranus – Neptune – Milky Way alignment, or the consequent 26:51 orbital ratio.

>>It is not like some comet came out of the blue and the desert lit up with fires and the AEs marked the event and set the timing of it. Also, the names and numbers are so flexible, I find it hard to give merit for astonishment and an "OH - wow, that is really incredible!" and "Whoa, my mind is moved.".....no, nothing......<<
You are right that this was not - at least as it seams - related to a majestic observational phenomenon, but rather a an advanced scientific calculation. The role of a word-number relation is to lead us in the right direction it does not substitute scientific methodology. In this it is like the Delphic oracle it does not hide, it does not reveal, it simply shows signs of the truth.

>>If you are not an astronomer with the skills of high math, not just numerology and ratios you will not know there are problems with the programs as you can not compute. But, if you could compute and do all of the high math associated with going backwards to find alignments and this and that, you would not need Starry Night<<

The fact is that you would need Starry Night or some other professional astronomy software anyway. This is because Starry Night is also a planetarium this you can easily move through dates and check alignments – see exactly how the sky would look from anywhere. After finding an alignment you can verify it’s accuracy using math. For example we can verify that Neptune is in the right position. The ecliptic longitude of Neptune now at the sphinx is 322 deg 12’ according to starry night. The difference in years between now (2008 AD) and 2466 BC is:

2008 + 2466 – 1 = 4473 years

But we have to subtract the 163 days from March 27 to September 6 so we have:

4473 x 365.242 days – 163 days = 1633727.466 days

We divide this by Neptune’s Tropical orbit period:

1633727.466 days / 59799.9 days = 27.319903 cycles

Thus from the present ecliptic longitude we have to subtract:

(0.319903 cycles) x 360 degrees = 114 deg 10’

Therefore:

322 deg 12’ - 114 deg 10’ = 208 deg 2’

According to Starry Night the ecliptic longitude of Neptune at March 27 2466 BC was 208 deg 21’. We find a difference of 19 minutes. This is logical since the orbit period is from NASA’s site and might not be updated with the latest accepted values. There are also other parameters like Julian calendar, leap year etc. that need to be taken into account, so this calculation is overly-simplistic.

>>Programs like that make way for almost anyone to come up with some thing, but, that is not real discovery or science or gives credence to actually having a degree or years of education of some sorts in the fields they are trying to represent.<<
It’s good to have a degree, but usually degrees are aimed at career preparation and not toward the guileless pursuit of truth. Also not all people with a degree pursue a research path in their field of study. Some people have a degree in one field which is related to what they do for a living, and as a hobby study a different field or fields working on a certain idea. This doesn’t make them an expert in the field, but not everybody can be an expert at everything. It’s not seldom that people who aren’t experts at anything come up with good ideas.

>>Robert Bauval uses astro programs too and his theories have not been proven out (unless something has slipped by me and I missed it).<<
I don’t think the reason Bauval has not received the recognition I know he thinks he should have has anything to do with faulty software.
