In order to support your idea, you have to show other material that proves that the architect "intentionally" wanted Sirius instead of something else. The temple could have been aligned to a distant shrine, or toward where they estimated a city lay or toward the celestial poles or in a spot where light would fill the rooms all day long most effectively. They were traditionalists -- they didn't just make a "secret signal" once and then never repeat it.

You haven't eliminated alternative scenarios.

You haven't disproven mine. The temple area is dedicated to Hathor and to birthing. The processional causeway points to the imperishable stars AND to the constellation where Hathor chains the evil Set to prevent him from harming things. Those who have done a great many studies of these structures (and who can read hieroglyphs) say that the temple is actually oriented toward the position of the Nile during that time period: [www.touregypt.net]

You have to prove that it can't be aligned to the Nile. You also have to prove that it was somehow dedicated to Sirius and not Hathor.

Actually, it doesn't. Once you get 30 feet down or so, you can't see the sky. From the bottom of the passageway, you can't even see a point of light to the entrance.
