Perhaps the apex itself becasue it is obvious from the picture I posted that it leads to a pointed shadow.

And really either a shadow study has been done or not. A simple yes or no will do and if it has not been done all the naysayers postings are so much brilliant speculation.

No one to the best of my knowledge has ever answered why 440 was used as a base length. however it leads directly to the height of 280 +/-. they could have picked 400 or 390 or 460 but they didn't. Until we know why 440 was chosen we are still fumbling in the dark
