Of course you realize that this picture wasn't taken at sunset.
The model in my head does show about a single continuous line if
projected to sunset. The sun doesn't drop straight to the hori-
zon in winter. It angles sharply. If it's not a single line, it
is at least pretty close.
That these corners are in a line at all says that at least the last
was influenced by the other two. Are we to believe this means Men-
kaure had to follow Khufu and Khafre into the afterlife? It seems
easier to believe that among the other reasons these were built was
as a sort of calender.
