AS: Would you mind explaining your hypothesis on why the "bifurcation", as you call it, is missing from Khafre's pyramid at Giza?
SC: 'Bifurcation' is not my word but Cladking's. In his book
The Egyptian Pyramids: A Comprehensive, Illustrated Reference, J.P. Lepre refers to these features as 'concavities' - the word I have generally used.
My short answer is that the missing concavities of Khafre acts as a

Often the answer to a puzzle lies not in what is present, but in what is
missing. I have demonstrated this philosophy previously with the missing 'Queens' of Khafre.
