Yes I understood your point quite well. What I was trying to say and apparently not saying it as effectively as I wanted too is that I share your concern that in some cases the only way people find out what is really going on in the real world is by watching the imaginary one. I agree with you that autism is absolutely going up. As I recall one of the prime geographical areas where autism is on the rise is in Silicon valley one of the major computer centers in the world. Ironically the place that has one of the greatest pools of intellectual talent is also the source of something that is lobotomizing our kids.
As far as the medical profession goes, I couldn't agree with you more. However Dr's have been bound and gagged by congress and their political whores in the medical industry about what they can and can't tell you. And of course don't get me started on reimportation of drugs at a cheaper cost...It seems that the drug companies are deeply concerned about "safety" when we all know that the real reason is that it will significantly undercut their profits. However help is on the way (to use Al Gore's failed slogan) Michael Moore is making a documentary on the drug companies.
