Many early psychiatric terms are meaningless or had their meaning substantially changed. Autism is not eccentricity, reclusiveness or geekiness, as has been suggested. Asperger's syndrome is quite different from true autism. Autism was first officially noticed in the 40s,
after the preservative was in use. I've already posted links on Asperger's syndrome.
There has been an explosion in autism since the preservative was first developed. During the 15 years when this stuff was injected into millions of young children (1989-2003), the cases of autism have jumped from one in 2500 to one in 160; for boys it's one in 80. As I mentioned the other day, new evidence is beginning to show a drop in the number of cases of autism in states where Thimerosal is banned.
And now some in the US congress are actively trying to push legislation to prevent drug companies from being held accountable, which frankly further suggests someone knows what's been going on. Meanwhile, we are exported this stuff all over the world to countries with no previous autism, who are now seeing children stricken after vaccinations....IMO, it's important for all of us to know ALL the facts. The conduct and cowardice of the news media has been shameful.
