We had the opposite problem here - massive amounts of media time and space were dedicated to the anti-MMR lobby and little or no space was given to the evidence against an MMR/autism link.

I absolutely agree that the discussion needs to be had but what happened here was that all we got was, effectively, scaremongering, that has had a real, measurable effect in terms of the proven problems associated with the diseases the MMR prevents.

That said, and despite my feelings on the matter, I find the notion of debate being deliberately suppressed utterly despicable.
