Well, it was something I saw on TV, so take it for what it's worth. The increase in ADD in recent years was said to have been associated with early TV viewing. It was suggested that children under a certain age, 5 maybe, should not watch TV any where near as long as they do. It's too much stimulation and over loads the brain. I don't think this is a conclusive study, but it's interesting, because there are people who park very young children in front of TVs for hours. Maybe there is some correlation.
ADD was in my mother's family, at least one of her cousins had it, maybe two, and both grew up before TV was invented. It might be more reasonable, if there is anything to this, to think that if your family is prone to it, then restrict young children in your family from watching TV. Kinda like careful eating if you know there's heart disease in your family.
