"I can't believe you still don't get the point! It's not the hunting I am against, after all, the humans have hunted from the dawn of ages. It's the very type of the fox hunting that I find inexcusably cruel."
hmm i feel the same way so maybe i do get the point.

So don't go mixing nationality in your debate

well seeing as the debate is the just passed english law prohibiting fox hunting in england i think it would be a bit difficult to discuss this topic without a little nod atthe very least towards nationality.

let me make myself a little clearer. I disapprove of fox hunting.
i disapprove of setting traps or poison for them
i would be greatly in approval of instead of farmers griping on about how many chickens they lose a year to foxes they invested in a better guard dog or even something really miraculous like fox proof chicken coops.wouldn't that be amazing. Foxes are legitimate vermin. They are a nuisance predator. They're smelly carry disease and fleas. Doesn't mean i think they should be hunted cruelly. I also believe that people who hunt foxes and have done so as a tradition for generations shouldn't be forced to give it up because foxes to all outward appearances seem to be really cute little fluffy bundles of joy.

its the bundle of fluffy love image that is the real reason that fox hunting has been banned. not because of cruelty.
that's wrong
it's called fascism
isn't that just how nazi germany started (not 100% serious comment)
hmmmm

some quotes just in today's news from lord Mancroft, 47, a former hunt master, blamed the ban on Tony Blair "the charlatan, the ham actor who is our prime minister."
and went on to say "Thursday was one of the saddest days of my life. I blubbed like a baby at the thought that we might never hunt again," Mancroft said. "But I am not sad any more. I am bloody angry!"

ritva in answer to one of your earlier questions
its guys like lord Mancroft that they give firearms licences to
need i remind you again that guns in the u.k. are what the royal artillery uses.
surely you're not saying that hunting with a 90mm howitzer is cruel.
i can't see a fox limping away after just being winged by a 90mm armour piercing shell
lol
