<HTML>The southern-most Pyramid is further east in relation to the middle pyramid than the latter is in relation to the pyramid furthest north. There is an intentional offset to the site.

It is true that the south-eastern corners are aligned perfectly.
This means that IF Menkaure's pyramid had been built to the same proportion as the others, its mortuary temple would also have to be positioned further north. That would have wrecked the mortuary-temple based corrlation with Orion - as the Mortuary Temples would then be aligned at a perfect 45 degree angle as well.
So....if the Egyptians wanted to align the mortuary temples with the belt stars (<i>and</i> they wanted to maintain a 45 degree line along the South Eastern corner) the only option would be to build a pyramid of exactly those dimensions expressed in Menkaure's pyramid.
Again, the alternative is that Menkaure built his pyramid the exact size required to achieve a match with the belt stars purely by chance.
Right now, I don't swallow it. But I am unsure. I hope to prove that coincidence is absolutely out of the question.
