From memory the slope of the Ascending Passage in G1 conforms to the seked of 360/8pi.

This is just over 26 degrees 3 arc minutes, which is very close to the measured slope.

The observed slope should be within 3 arc minutes of the intended slope if the build standard was 1 part in 1000 or better, assuming there has been no movement and no significant error in the measurement of the slope.

Imagine a royal cubit wheel with a diameter of one royal cubit, which is 7 palms. One revolution of the wheel equates to very nearly 22 palms (21.99..), perhaps seen as exactly 22 palms from measurement. This is, of course, a horizontal run of pi royal cubits.

A unit of slope arising from the revolution of a royal cubit wheel will have a fixed vertical rise of 7 palms and a horizontal displacement in palms, just as we find in the seked.

If a more precise slope was required then there was good reason to convert into digits so that the slope could be measured out more precisely.

The seked of 360/8pi (palms) becomes the 'seked' of 360/2pi (digits) as there are 4 digits in the palm.

As soon as you appreciate that the circle was divided into 360 degrees then the division into 60 degrees follows from 6 equilateral triangles.

I find it useful to assume a biological basis because both the words we use and the dimensions correspond to the proportions found in the arms of an average ancient Egyptian.
