This was a small town in Southern Florida. If memory serves, they were all individually written in the person's own words. No two were the same that I saw, so clearly it was not a petititon drive, per se.

I just remembered there being a notebook there, in addition to what was hung on the walls. I think the notebook held several copies of these petititions. That's why they're "sticking with me", so to speak. I think I flipped through several of them. It was ten years ago. I can barely remember what I was reading ten minutes ago, but this was an impressive collection.

I know the affidavit signed by Irwin is notarized on April 21, 1994. Her name was Susan F. Childers, CC # 102548. I would assume that if he called them affidavits, he meant it.

They may have been sworn statements, and for all we know, this Childers may have offered her services as a town resident for free, simply because it helped promote the town's tourism base.
