Hi, Jim
Thanks for clearing up the credits for me. If you don't mind, I'll rename your Golden-cut circle from "Cook's circle" to"Alison's circle". This circle is like a Swiss-knife for my reconstruction.
After visiting Tedder's site again, here is an interesting tidbit. Tedder says:
"4. From the centre of the western baseline (9), extend a direction line to the south west sighting over pole 3. This direction line is the diagonal of a 'golden proportion' rectangle (58.3 degs). The centres of the second (G2) and third (G3) pyramids of Giza are on this line. Where this line crosses the line due south from pole 4, mark the intersection with a pole (8). This marks the centre of G3."
About this line: It does set a very good golden rectangle. However, it is not true that the center of G2 is anywhere near it, not to mention directly on it, as Tedder says. Under my cubit scale, this line passes 1.0100 cubits west of the center of G2. If this was the plan, then the Egyptians were unspeakably sloppy in implementing it.
I look forward to more discussion. Thanks again for clearing up my mis-attributions.
Respectfully,
Jiri
