PART 8 : Summary and Conclusions
Summary
The seven Parts of this article looked at the pyramids through a different lens, and many things that were previously mysteries became clearer. The main new concepts applied were :
First, the
afterlife Heb Sed was developed; a new concept distinct from the
lifetime Sed Festival. It maintains that the actions took place in the sky. This enabled a series of new explanations such as the purpose of the shafts in the Great Pyramid.
Second, the identification of counterparts in the sky have been presented for all pyramids. This was a necessary Heb Sed requirement. Because - to make any action happen in the sky, the action must be done in the pyramid also. An example would be the King’s run around the enclosure resulting in the king’s circumnavigation of the whole cosmos.
The counterpart area in the sky was the same for every pyramid. It was the square between the star Mizar of the Ursa Major and the star Kocab of Ursa Minor. We are sure of this initially from the shape of Khasekhemwe’s tomb which was arranged like the four stars around the celestial pole. Then the location was confirmed on the ceilings of the VOK tombs of Seti l and Ramses centuries later.
Within this counterpart of the pyramid, the burial chambers was located either at the star Thuban, or the star 10 Draconis, or at the pole itself.
By looking at the requirements of the afterlife Heb Sed and the counterparts of the pyramids in the northern sky a number of new explanations were achieved over the seven Parts.
For each pyramid, what I consider to be the main ‘firsts’ are listed. The most important ones are in bold.

• The PT’s were the recitations and responses of the Heb Sed
Conclusions
By looking at all the pyramids rather than one only, the sequence of changes and the reasons for these changes could be identified. The overwhelming thread that ran through all of them was the Heb Sed requirements for the Kings afterlife.
This dictated most of the changes, the architecture, and the function of each component.
The necropolis at Giza was as much a Heb Sed creation as the complex of Djoser at Saqqara !
