Thanks for the links. I found some fascinating material in researching these.
Unfortunately I haven't found much about the translation of "makes the stone grow" or "allows the stone to grow". This is probably complicated by the fact that "lapis lazuli" comes from 'blue stone" in many language. In Spanish, for instance, "azul" means 'blue". Determining author intent becomes rather complex but obviously lapis lazuli never "grows" and the authors of the PT would not have believed it did.
"Turquoise" is used a couple of times in the PT with one usage apparently meaning the color and the other is likely the stone.
I found the forward and introduction in the second link quite interesting as well.
