I've a few questions to clarify to get my mind around your ideas...

1) Does this hypothesis demand the preexistence of both cemetery and Sphinx?

2) If the current most accepted theory is correct, that Djedefre ordered the Sphinx executed in a rock formation left over from Khufu's pyramid wouldn't that require another trans-generational plan? ie; Someone would need to plan the correct amount of bedrock removal to leave the Sphinx blank for finishing?
